What is a Court Display Board?

The Court Display Board is a live tracker in a paper form or in a digital form that lets you know which matter is being heard in which Court Room of the Hon'ble Court. The Court board is also known as the cause list.

The court display board gives information of the matters that may be either proceeded through physical hearing or through video conferencing. It consists of all the regular daily matters that will be kept for proceeding for the current day's agenda of the concerned court, it shows information related to the case status and information about the case like Who is the accused and complainant, who is the prosecution and defendant.

It simply states that the matter is on serial number 1,2,3... and will be heard by which court. In the sessions court, the court display board functions under the eCourt project in this judgeship to facilitate litigants and lawyers for knowing their called out cases status through the display board screen.

EG:

  1. Court number
  2. Coram
  3. Sr.no
  4. Case status

Once an individual is aware of the Sr.no of case matter then he can address the hon'ble court by simply telling the serial number of the matter.

Matters are displayed according to the status of the matter eg if it is kept for cross, argument, ready, unready etc.

The court calls up the matter for adjudication according to the display board of the court. The individual needs to be present before the hon'ble court as soon as the matter is called by the court.
